DIY Water Resistant Water Bottle Labels

Here is a simple way to make your printable water bottle labels water resistant without having to buy the expensive water resistant paper!

What You'll Need:

Water Bottle Labels File
Printer
Cardstock (or other paper to print on)
Scissors or paper cutter
Packaging Tape

The water bottle labels in this post are available in my shop here for only $3.00 and are an instant download

First, you need to print your labels ( I use 110lb cardstock but you can use any paper you'd like)

Next, cut out your labels. You can use scissors, but I prefer a paper cutter for straight lines.

Flip your labels over (print side down) and put packaging tape across the back. Depending on the width of your tape you may need 2 rows.

Flip the label print side up and repeat taping.

Trim excess tape from around the labels. Be sure you don't cut too close to the labels - you want a small edge of tape around the labels to keep them water resistant!

Wrap around water bottles and tape.

And that's it!!! You can even use this method to wrap bubbles, juice boxes, etc.

The beauty of this method is you can also remove the labels and reuse!

  1. That looks like it was done by professionals! I'd agree with using a paper cutter. Unless you have very good hands, it's hard to pull this off with a pair of scissors. And yes, it's a common mistake to cut the tape all the way to the labels, as it could ruin the labels and make them wet. People really be doing this! Thanks for your post!
